Websites are our bread and butter we have built dozens of these over the years. Some have won awards for design, some have been recognised for their innovation and some for their use of technology. By their nature they don’t last forever and as smarter design or new technology comes along they become obsolete, they are replaced, updated beyond recognition or sometimes simply cease to exist. Thats the way it should be. There were under 2 million internet users in the UK when we built our first website back in 1994 and most of those were students. There are now over 21 million users from all walks of life who regularly log on to do their shopping, plan their holidays or just to explore. It is this ever changing landscape that makes the web such a fascinating place to visit and why so many businesses want to claim a piece of it for themselves. A note on coding standards
In line with government recommendations on accessibility we code in XHTML
using CSS to control the visual aspects of a site. This allows us to build
sites that take account of the needs of users with visual, cognitive and mobility
disabilities without affecting the experience of the able bodied user. We also
validate all code according to W3C guidelines and can build to A, AA or AAA
standards.
While many agencies offer accessibility compliance as a specialist
service Wazoo considers accessibility a necessary standard.
